About Me... Hi, My name is Fareesa Khan. I was born and raised in India. I came from a bilingual background. My family speaks Urdu at home. I received my teaching certificate in Hyderabad, India, before migrating to the United States in 1999. While in the United States, I completed my certification requirements at North Eastern University. I also received my Bilingual and ESL endorsement from North Eastern University.
My career in Education began when I was appointed as a Language Art teacher for the sixth grade in Rahmatia Elementary School in India. I continued my profession in America when I was given the opportunity to teach children at Clinton Elementary School in 2001 as a Bilingual/ ESL teacher. In 2004, I was assigned as the Bilingual Lead Teacher. I support the Bilingual/ESL students through Pull-out and Push-in program. I believe in the importance of understanding children, their family background and their social needs. I have tried to incorporate my personal experiences into educational opportunities for the students. Besides teaching, some of my hobbies include hosting large family gatherings and traveling. |
